Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to assess the implementation of the management of zakat as local revenue, factors and constraining zakat management. The results showed that the internal limiting factor in the form of lack of understanding of the provisions of zakat as revenue management, facilities and infrastructure are inadequate, incompetent quality of human resources, as well as the coordination of work that has not been well established. External inhibiting factors such as employment barriers stem from a lack of coordination with relevant agencies both regional and vertically as well as with private enterprise, state / local enterprises and the persistence of the scholarsdayah dissent. Internal driving factor in the form of an intensive socialization through print and electronic media, the availability of more adequate facilities supported by an improvement in the quality of human resources through training and seminars, as well as ensure coordination with the quality of work that is more internal parties. External factors that pushed their official duty to manage zakat is the support of community leaders, intellectuals, and community. Keywords: charity, local revenues.
